Limerick School of Art & Design (LSAD – TUS) is hosting an exhibition artwork from staff, current students and alumni in the Crescent Shopping Centre, Limerick.

Making use of the former Pamela Scott retail unit during one of the busiest times of the year, the pop up store offers the public an opportunity to take a break from the mad dash Christmas shopping and take time out to discover the range and diversity of the artists of LSAD.

As a former student myself, I am happy to have some works from my Landlines included.

Landlines - landscapes in clay by Mags Dunne Artist
Landlines. landscapes in clay by Mags Dunne artist

Landlines are a series of landscapes in clay featuring embossed lines from maps with incised detail, textures and glazes to capture my experience of the Irish mountains. This body of work was created during a time when I did a lot of hillwalking in Cork, Kerry and Tipperary.  I was fascinated by the ordinance survey maps and the interpretation of the landscape via the lines alongside the tangible geography of the land around me.
